One of a number

From yesterday
Most of the day there were intermittent heavy showers, requiring me to empty the wheelbarrow (catches the overflow from the roof over the garage and carport) at times every five minutes. Late afternoon the rain stopped. Not even gentle showers. So I had a walk on which I saw this little duckling in long grass beside the road. Its 'siblings' were i longer grass, and I chose not to try and count them all; they may be the almost dozen I saw a week ago.
Later we went to Avondale College to watch the school production of Chicago, the musical. Young L had a role in this. He is an excellent actor. His natural singing voice is deemed to be too deep for a lead role, and although he is having singing lessons, he was not ready to sing solo. Perhaps next year.
It was a really good show.
