"Thermal Hawk" Sailplane Flys...

I went flying with my neighbor again this morning.

My plane flew well with its modified controls system.

Here is Jim caught in the act of flying my plane.

He then handed me the radio controller and I flew it successfully for a few minutes, but the wind came up and I lost control of the plane.

Unfortunately, I crashed before Jim could take over for me.

That was the end of my plane for the day, but like a Phoenix it'll rise again with a few replacement parts ;-)

I have a lot to learn about flying this gizmo.

I must say it is such fun for me to think about a 62 year old rookie learning the RC flying game from an 85 year old instructor pilot.

I guess it's true that many men never grow up.
