Lottie Prepares

After last night’s endeavours in the bothy*, I went for a cruise across Scapa Flow to visit the Scapa Flow Museum in Lyness.  It offers a more than laudable attempt to interpretate what happened in Scapa Flow in two World Wars.  Lottie and Bamber (fae Forres) accompanied me.  Lottie had a hearty breakfast.  Later we crossed back to Stromness to see the Victoria Crowe Exhibition in the Pier Art Centre.  Both Lottie and Bamber are artists, so they helped explain things to me.  Met Jim (with Pauline!).  They delivered me back to Creel HQ; CMC had just returned from her accordion session in Kirkwall.  L&B departed to Kirkwall (keeping up?).  I swept out the bothy.  The Worshipful Company of Leathersellers got a mention today.  Who knew?

Philip Jackson is 76.

*Surprisingly the highlight of the evening was an independently bottled Royal Brackla.
