Beauty in Decay

There have only been a few glimpses of sunshine these past two days after the three days of glorious weather.  I managed to capture this picture of one of the last poppies standing in the wildflower section of the garden during one of the brighter spells.

Lots of gardening has been done this week tidying up, cutting back and also removing some plants as well as a bush that didn’t thrive this ‘summer’ in spite of Mrs CBL’s valiant efforts.

It’s at this time of year when there is still much beauty to be seen in decaying plants and flowers.
