We ended up in court today ...

... on a guided tour as part of the Doors Open Days.
Glasgow Sheriff Court is one of the busiest courts in Europe with 24 courtrooms. The building was designed in 1986 by architects Keppie Henderson and Partners in the Brutalist style. The building is grade B listed.
The vast entrance foyer is reminiscent of a Greek temple with a nod to an earlier Glasgow architect Alexander "Greek" Thomson. The detailing and features are in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (he had been a partner in the firm Keppie Henderson).
Unfortunately no photos were allowed to be taken inside but I have found some photos and information online

A very interesting tour visiting the courtroom, cells and hearing about the daily business within the building from those who work there.
