Palermo market
My blips seem to be continuing on a theme of shops in Palermo. We walked through this market with lots of stalls with brightly coloured tea towels, bags, table cloths and much more. Masses of it. Do they manage to sell all this stuff? It was very jolly anyway, if maybe a bit overwhelming.
We were returning from our parkrun down by the shore at Foro Italico, as Chris said, a flat course a bit like Cramond, along by the shore, but much warmer! It was a really friendly affair with visiting parkrunners from England, Scotland (just us I think), Ireland, South Africa and a number of Australians, as well as a few locals. I managed a pretty slow get round as it was too hot for me, and finished in 30th place out of a small field of around 50 people. The advantages of smaller parkruns! We had a nice wander back to our flat, past the marina, and then a tasty brunch on route before passing through the market.
Extras show people gathering at the start and then Chris finishing.
