After 26 days in the hospital, I’m finally home. It’s a tough slog as it’s very difficult to walk. I suppose it’s not totally unexpected after having been in a bed with limited movement for over three weeks and having had a complex abdominal surgery. Trying to sleep last night in my own bed with the abdominal pain was a challenge.

The bear was a gift from the staff of the hospital. They also gave me a card signed by everyone on the floor. When I asked if they do that for everyone, I was told that they have never done it before. I was really touched by it. It really is a cute little bear.

As challenging as it is, it’s good to be home.
