St Giles

It was yet another really lovely day.  These last few days have felt like the summer we didn’t really have this year.  We had encouraged all our teams to work in the office today.  They didn’t all appear, but there was a good turnout of colleagues.  It was certainly a busy day and good to catch up with people in person.
 
We had a Macmillan coffee afternoon – with a fabulous spread of cakes.  It was really nice to stop work for half an hour and to have a chat over lovely home baking.  We even had a quiz – which was good fun.
 
I had to run for the bus tonight – and just made it.  TT cooked again this evening.  I think he has taken pity on me as I haven’t been feeling great.  Later I went for a short walk, came home, watched some TV and fell asleep on the sofa.  I woke up much later, and dragged myself to bed.
 
I did manage to escape for a quick walk at lunchtime.  After the festival Edinburgh felt a little quieter, but there seems to be loads of tourists about again
