Miners Marsh

I decided to stop at Miners Marsh when I went to the valley today to buy more plants. I haven't stopped at Miners Marsh since early summer. The cattails get so high, there is only one spot where you can get a good view of the water. And with the trees in full leaf it is difficult to see the smaller birds in the trees.

A friend of mine was having a plant sale for another friend today and tomorrow. I knew that there would be some unusual plants there so I really wanted to go. Since I am going in the opposite direction tomorrow I decided that this afternoon would be the only time I could get there. I bought a pink pussy willow and a black pussy willow, now I have to decide where to plant them. They prefer a moist area, but I will have to put them somewhere where I can keep them watered. Plus I will want to photograph them in the spring.
