Hope for Wildlife tour

The social group had a tour of Hope for Wildlife this morning. It was supposed to be on Sept 7th but it rained that day. I decided to skip brunch so I could still go on the tour.
There is a TV series about Hope for Wildlife, apparently it is on British Netflix. Hope for Wildlife is a well known wildlife rescue center for injured animals.
The main photo is one of the metal sculptures on the site. An artist created this one and several others from found and scavenged items, welded them together into animal forms, He donated all of them to HFW.
In the extras, the eagle and the fox are permanent residents at HFW. It was difficult to get clear photos as the mesh fencing gets in the way, there is about a 1 x 2 inch space in the mesh.
This afternoon I had grocery shopping to get done, then I went to Indigo to get a couple of new books and a magazine. After I came home I got a salad ready to take to the potluck tomorrow night and I made an apple crisp, then made some pasta for supper. The most cooking I have done in one day for a long time.
My friend that had to go to the hospital this week is having a stent put in tomorrow. I expect her to be in the hospital for several days after that while home care is being arranged for her. She is not happy about having to stay in the hospital, but she cannot stay alone for the next several weeks and possibly longer, it is going to depend on how much long term damage was done from the stroke.
