Votive-making, Millstreet

A sunshiny day and a gentle drive to Millstreet Library to help the Artist run some votive-workshops for our Culture Night event on Friday. We had no idea how many people might be coming but each workshop was jam-packed with enthusiastic women and such fun. We made lotus-flower shaped votives, placed a tea light inside and decorated them with fresh flowers amongst much chat and laughter. I was seriously terrible but one amazing woman went off with sheets of greaseproof paper promising to make 50 overnight. And she did! The Artist and I went down to Tubrid holy well later for a test float - thankfully all good!
