White Bay Power Station
Thanks to Trisharooni for getting me out for a Behind the Scenes Tour of the historic White Bay Power Station. We saw the newly remediated boiler house and turbine hall and some parts not open to the public. Not sure where en route my main was taken but I thought it suitably derelict.
My extras were taken in the control room, our last stop on the tour. I got an odd feeling that when the power station stopped operating in 1983, everyone who worked here downed tools and walked out. This room is perhaps a perfectly preserved museum piece of old tech. New tech was just around the corner.
Thanks for hosting Marlieske.
