Today is the autumn equinox - when we begin our descent into the dark. I'm not being despondent here, just recognising the turn of the seasons. I would like the next few months to be a quieter, more introspective and creative time. It's the beginning of a kind of hibernation, when things slow down a bit and go to ground. 

Today was also the day we put up our new prayer flags - the ones I bought when Joanna and I visited Samye Ling

It was the day for a final grass cut (I hope).

It is time for a bivvy night , between the flagpole and the apple trees :-)
