Life through the lens...

The start of the winter store cupboard.

Turned much colder. No sun and now raining.
A good day to start pickling onions.
Peeling is not a job I enjoy! They are now covered in salt and water and I will bottle them tomorrow. Then have to wait a month before they are ready to eat.
However these were large ones so peeling wasn’t too bad.
I wasn’t particularly happy with the quality.
The best are always those from Norfolk, so will buy some when we visit in November.

Glad that Landward was back on TV this morning.
Scotland’s farming and countryside programme.
So uplifting, and positive vibes.
Partly down to the presenters, especially Dougie Vipond. Always smiling.
If the name seems familiar to some, he was a founder member and drummer of Deacon Blue.

It was interesting to see what your choices were for dancing songs.
Dancing Queen seemed to be a favourite.
I have chosen Rocking All Over the World, by Status Quo.
However George doesn’t know if the band know that one. Hadn’t realised it was a real band. Thought he needed it for a DJ.
