Getting ready

Sunday mornings are great, I can enjoy a leisurely start to the day, snuggled under the duvet.  It wasn't a day for doing very much anyway.  Very grey and not very warm outside.

After feeding cats, only 3 now, I did a small amount of work and then started the process of getting cover for the end of the year.  That took till lunchtime, some home made veg soup.  After that I had a brief foray to the garden.  Not really gardening weather but I chopped back some lavender, and some over growing pyracantha (snipped the lights by mistake) and edged the lawn.

Back inside I made a cauliflower and vegetable stew, loosely based on a BBC Food recipe, sat down to relax and finish Richard Osman and then there were some work messages before heading off to the Manor for a family meal out at Charwood.  It was a very pleasant evening with J and D before head back to France and although I had chips I evaded wine for a Ginger Bello mocktail and dessert for a macchiato.

I'm not only getting ready for December, the street is getting ready for the bus diversion tomorrow.  The cones are out, but some folk's vehicles are still parked on the road.  Not mine though!!
