Sea view in the sunshine
Bertie and I had a most enjoyable morning walk along the edge of Calgary Bay as far as the old pier. It was so calm and peaceful with the high tide lapping the rocks. I watched a paddle boarder taking a gentle voyage out from the beach, accompanied by her golden retriever. As she turned back to shore the retriever abandoned ‘ship’ and swam back to dry land.
We had a special joint service in Salen Church for the four North Mull Parish churches in the afternoon. The service was taken by an applicant for the vacancy of minister for Mull and Iona and afterwards we all had to vote whether to accept her (or not) as our new minister. I am very happy to say that the vote was unanimous to accept her. We are very fortunate as there are quite a few parishes which have been without a minister for two years or more, compared to our two months.
