Memories
Without a doubt, Mum is at her most animated when drawn back into thinking about things she did over her many years. This morning we got some photo albums out and looked at pictures from her childhood and some holidays she's had. Here, she and Ruth are studying pictures from when Mum was at school in Richmond, Yorkshire, evacuated from London during the war years. Friendships were made then that lasted long after. I've taken a little license with the rules to include two pictures from the past alongside two from this morning. They are part of the story of what we did today. Mum was a teacher before raising a family needed all her energy, this from more than seventy years ago, she could still name some of the children pictured! The other B&W image has children in it too. I am there on the ridge centre right, as we descend Craig yr Aderyn in August 1971. It's somewhere I have blipped from a few times, one of the extras from this blip shows the same path almost fifty years later :-) My dad took the pic and printed the photo in our home dark room. Mum is there holding my sister's hand.
