A lot of wind

During my walk with Caspar this morning I noticed a helicopter flying over our village. Not an unusual sight. But this one, an air rescue one, went slowly down, then made a long curve back to, yeah, where I was standing.
It looked like they were searching for something. Obviously they found it and came down, so Caspar and I better stepped aside. Nevertheless we were almost blown away, so much wind the landing produced. First time I had been so close to a landing helicopter.

Well, two medical staff got out of the helicopter and looked around. I was definitely not the one they looked for. Briefly after the landing the local chief of the fire brigade came, told them they were at the right spot, and then blocked the road in one direction. Then came an ambulance and the meds entered it.
Since this all happened very close to the local ambulance station, one of them ambulances came out of the garage and blocked the other direction.

Approximately 20 minutes later the helicopter left, but without any patient. The ambulance turned of the rotating beacons and moved out of the way. Because they didn't hurry to a nearby hospital I assume the mission was not successful.

The air rescue base is approximately 42km away in Mannheim. Frankfurt and Mainz are the other two stations in this distance.
