An ordinary life....

A close shave...

and not with a razor!  More on that in a mo.

We all enjoyed a bit of a lie in.  D and Kenny were downstairs first, followed a little while later by Ele then me two minutes behind.  Always at the coo's tail!

A leisurely brunch watching the golf at Wentworth then the start of the Singapore Gran Prix before we all headed out in our car to Glendocik Garden Centre for a mooch.

A pleasant journey till we left the A90 at the Glendoick exit (we are the blue arrow) then as we rounded the corner, a woman driving a green car (other than the whites of her eyes, that's all the detail I had time to register) was heading straight for us on our side of the road (she's the red arrow)  No idea why she was on our side of the road.  We can only surmise that she misread the sign and thought the left hand lane was the slip road heading onto the A90 to Dundee (which it is) and the right hand lane was the slip road onto the A90 heading to Perth (which it isn't!)  The green dot is where we almost came to a sticky end!

What was really odd was she took no action to avert disaster and it was only D's fast reaction that prevented a full head on collision!  And thank heavens our brakes and brake pads were replaced at the car's recent service!!  Jeez!  The four of us saw our lives flash before our eyes!  Coffee and cake definitely needed after that!

Spent a pleasant couple of hours at Glendoick and only bought a little autumnal toad stool and a small stocking filler gift.  Oh and some delicious Indian food from their fresh frozen section.  Ele bought a curry for Kenny and lasagne for herself.  They had planned to go home for dinner but we got back to ours and I said they were welcome to eat here and then K wouldn't miss the end of the golf.  So they did :-)

A lovely weekend apart from today's fright.  Shudder when I think how close we came to crashing but trying to keep focussed on how lucky we were to avoid it.  Might buy a lottery ticket this week ;-))
