Moving north

A bit of a drive today, up to Gatehouse of Fleet. It was a bit sad leaving Ravenglass as we've become fond of the area. We met some lovely people on the site too, including a couple from the Netherlands who look after a friend's miniature Schnauzer and regularly meet up in the woods with three or four folk, all with black and silver mini Schnauzers!  Naturally, they were smitten with Lottie . . . !

It is a very different site here, mostly static vans, but right in the middle of the town so easy to access everything. We had a walk round the town, found some little paths down into the surrounding parks and countryside. It's an interesting place, a fine clock tower and a war memorial which is a copy of ancient cross, covered in Pictish carvings, amongst them. More exploring tomorrow.
