We walked to Rydal, enjoyed drinks and cakes at the tea shop, then headed up to Rydal Cave. There were so many people it was a one way system - into the cave around the side and out over the stepping stones. We didn't have a plan after that so took the easy option (my suggestion) and continued to White Moss where we waited for a bus back to Ambleside.
