Restoration and Regeneration.

The council greenhouses were in use until the mid seventies and then fell into disrepair. Three years ago funding was obtained and the greenhouse restoration project began , Last night we went to a gathering of folk meeting there to celebrate the equinox . We didn’t know anyone , although NC recognised a couple of people .Funding had just been awarded to the group to grow sphagnum moss as part of a wider project that hopes to facilitate the regeneration of the local peat ( blanket bog ) on our nearby moors . We would both like to get involved and I’ve been trying to work out who to contact, buying tickets for the equinox celebration was a way of supporting with the hope that we might be able to make contact with someone in the know ! And, Bingo ! We have a contact number and a route in . Hurrah !
