Three!
Our lovely three year old came to see me this morning. She was so happy and excited about her birthday.
I had the family presents here, a new helmet for her to use with her new (to her) bike from her cousins; a doll from us and a Bluey jigsaw, always a hit. A Bash the Frog game from my sister and one or two other extras. She had been for her swimming lesson before she came so was in good form.
The extra is of her on her bike. She seems so much older than 3, I think partly down to having a little sister so our expectations of her moved up a notch! I speak as a big sister!
The plumber came today to fix the broken handle on our loo. I was underwhelmed. I've waited 6 days and now we're going to have to wait again till he gets one that fits. The hum in the pipes, he thinks -he didn't actually go into the attic to check - is probably down to a faulty ballcock. He didn't have a replacement one of them in his van either. For a national company he seemed to be very short of the basics.
Of course the appointment was between 8am and 6pm and he arrived just before 4pm so I'd waited in all day - and presumably am going to have to do so again. He rushed off in a hurry because he'd parked across my neighbours driveway and they had to go out, so I've no idea when he or someone else will be back. Still at least I no longer have to stick my hand in the cistern to flush the loo - silver lining! Just as well I'd had a Josie visit or I'd have been heartily p*d off.
