Bull running

Today was the fete de taurine in Malaucene and mad it was too! Local young men try to bring a bull down as horse riders shepherd the bulls up and down the main road! There is a bull hidden by the riders over to the left of the picture. Temporary barriers were erected but you could just walk through them! The riders were skilled and strong - the men and women looked as though they were born to ride a horse. Of course no protective hats, no St John's ambulance and no animal rights people - just good fun.
Quite a few young folk proudly sported wounds at the end of the bull running and then all retired to a local bar to share stories. A great day!
