Marble cake

Here is my sample slice of tray bake marble cake I made for The Irish Hospice Coffee Morning which takes place this week.

I am helping out at the community centre so I have done a lot of baking this afternoon. Besides the marble cake, I made buttermilk scones and a tangy lemon drizzle cake. It starts at 10 till 1 and it’s great old craic. I have my flowery apron washed and ironed in readiness.

My dear Dad passed away in the hospice in Blackrock and he was given such great care. So I am glad to help fund raise.

By the way, the marble cake is getting a thumbs up from me.

I’m relaxing now and will watch Portraiture Through the Ages on Sky Arts tonight.
