The most wonderful time of the year

The shop at work is suddenly full of Christmas stuff. Apparently the next few weeks are when people buy most of their seasonal purchases at The Usual Place, of past years are anything to go buy. It is three months exactly until Christmas Eve, if ypu hadn’t noticed.

The cafe was super-busy at lunchtime today but fortunately we also run a cafe at Gracefield Arts Centre just up the road, so we were able to direct customers there. We also had a visit from one of our young people, Lewis, who has just started his first job at the Cairndale Hotel and Spa. Very exciting!

I did some shopping after work and I bought a couple of new hot water bottles - it’s getting near that time of the year…
