Embracing the change of season...
A day filled with everyday chores too boring to mention.
Aliyah and Alan headed to Glasgow for more clothes shopping for his holiday. I keep forgetting he heads off on Friday for a week. In my head the last weekend of September is still two weeks away!!
After dinner D headed off to his group's singing rehearsal (another sign autumn is here) and I settled down with my crochet to watch the first episode of this years Great British bake-off (GBBO) (A definite sign that autumn has arrived!! :-) OMG! Halfway through I was absolutely craving cake! So much so I texted David asking him to pick up some cake on his way home!! And I think that was the best showstopper challenge ever!
Aliyah came through for a quick chat about Alan's holiday and I told her about the Bake off and how it had left me craving for cake. She then made my dream come true...she produced a slice of the most heavenly red velvet cake I've ever tasted! It was her mum's birthday yesterday and this was a slice of her cake. Aliyah had already had a massive slice so insisted I have that one. I could have kissed her! hahahahaha! I never crave cake, in fact in recent years I've actually gone off it but Bake-off definitely triggered a deep longing. I couldn't have dreamt that the cake of my dreams would present itself so timeously. There's a lot to be said for the Law of Attraction! :-)
