My “big” task for the morning was to take the mason jar of honey and heat it in a pot of water for an hour to rid it of the crystals it had begun to form. That accomplished, I was free to head out to the porch and spend time with MiniMe.
Kent came home early to cut the grass before the rain began as it’s forecast for the rest of the week.
Once the rain began, I didn’t stay outside but came in.
I wasn’t in long before the mail arrived and in it the wire solar lights I had ordered. These were for the “Christmas Goat” Kent had bought for his oldest brother, Jeff.
I spent my time mounting these lights to the goat, so that it would be ready for us to put out at his grave site when we put out all the Christmas trees this year. Jeff was a goat farmer and so this will be a fun tribute to him.
This photo is of a golden orb weaver that is huge It is easily the size of the palm of my hand. Fortunately it decided to do its web high above head height going between the ridge of the house and the crepe myrtles. I would HATE to walk into that web!
I don’t kill these guys if they are somewhere I can walk into them, but take a broom and relocate them. They are “good guys” for the garden.
Note - I loaded and wrote my Blip for yesterday, three times, only to have it disappear when I hit the publish button. Extremely frustrating. I gave up and will post it after I’m successful with today’s
