Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria)

This Butterfly came to visit today, generally seen in europe, but this has the colourings of the northern race. The southern race is coloured orange instead of brown. Lovely day today with good sunshine and bearable temperatures. Must go, off to cook a BBQ.
