Here We Go...Again
Just a shot of a neighbor's roses, as the Big White Dog and I walked this morning. Most of my day will be spent getting ready for Helene. She's forecasted to become a hurricane later today and to make landfall, as a major hurricane...Category 3, at Florida's Big Bend late tomorrow (Thursday). Here in Gainesville, although we will be many miles away from Helene's eye, we are well within the 'Hurricane Watch' warning. Strong wind gusts possibly up to 70+mph are predicted, as well as possible flooding and of course the tornado threat, are all part of the package. Folks on the Gulf Coast have begun evacuations as a 10-15 foot surge of sea water coming at you is not survivable! Helene is predicted to be a very fast moving storm as she heads up into Georgia and points north, severe flooding is expected.
Please keep us in your thoughts.
