Bus Challenge No 224

Bath Carers Centre Coffee Morning, Bath Abbey.

The aim of my Bus Challenges has always been to see/learn/do something new, and today I went along to the abbey to join the coffee morning group for the first time. This pic is actually a beautiful autumnal display in the abbey gift shop, but it’s here that I waited to go down into the abbey cellars for the coffee morning. 

After doing some shopping, I only had half an hour at the abbey before I had to catch the bus for an appointment to look at a potential respite care home. The staff were lovely but the home wasn’t suitable for Dad, for several reasons. A short hop on a third bus home then it was on with the chores, including renegotiating the renewal price of our phone and broadband contract which had increased by 50%! It took nearly two hours “chatting” on the website but I eventually managed to get a two year contract for the same price we’ve been paying for the last two years.

A dry start to the day but by lunchtime the rain had returned and we now have yet another yellow warning for heavy rain tomorrow.

Total bus journey time = 1hr 9mins

Thank you for your kind stars for yesterday’s tiny snail. Afraid I’m going to blip and run again, I desperately need sleep. Another early start and crazy busy day tomorrow, but I’ll catch up with your journals then.
