Ship Wreck

While my alarm went off early so I could take my antibiotic, I went back to sleep and then had a quiet morning.  TT went off to church, while I pottered and  took the risk of hanging my washing out.  It was grey, with a slight breeze, and not damp like the past couple of days.  When TT returned he did some jobs in the garden, which included cutting the grass.  I went to the supermarket, but too a longer route so I could have a wee walk.  I picked up my shopping and headed home to make a late lunch.

We then  drove over to Barn’s Ness and went for a walk.  It was cooler by the coast, so we were glad we had brought jackets with us.  We walked to Skateraw lime kiln and then back again.  I nice bracing walk, and very peaceful.

TT cooked again this evening, though not quite what he had planned as he didn’t have enough time.  I had a call from BB.  It sounds like fresher’s week has caught up on him.  After his post-rugby shenanigans, he then went out again in Glasgow – though said he was just so tired.  So much socialising, partying and with a load of rugby thrown in – all with new people and in a new environment.  He’s done well to survive it all.  Classes start tomorrow, so I guess he will start to get into some kind of routine.  There was no wifi in his residences today, so he went down to the University to do whatever he had to do before classes start.

A friend shared a message sent by one of the rugby coaches to all the other coaches (her husband is a coach of a younger age group) about BB’s successful match yesterday.  It was a very proud mum moment!

We watched the first episode of Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing – just lovely TV.

We’ve not been to Barn’s Ness of years.  This old wreck is even more weathered than the last time we were here.  I love teh textures and colours, and all with Torness nuclear power station  along the coast.
