Passion Flower
It was yet another grey and damp day. Not a day that made me want to get up and out, so it started off quite lazily, with a nice breakfast. BB appeared around 10:30 – he must have been up at the crack of dawn to get here so early. He pottered, declared he was tired and went and had a sleep in my bed!
I was feeling rather grim due to my medication, so made myself get out for some fresh air, to try and take my mind off it. I walked into town and picked up a few provisions. TT was preparing some lunch when I got back home.
TT dropped BB off at rugby, then came home and walked back into town to get a haircut. I took up residence on the sofa as I wasn’t feeling any better, and almost didn’t go out to watch rugby, but again I forced myself out. I’m so glad I did make myself go down to watch the match, as the team had a great match, and BB played really well, scoring three tries. A resounding victory all round. We went to the clubhouse for a celebratory drink with friends after the game. BB’s reward for scoring three tries was to buy jugs of beer for the team, and to then down a pint, along with the man of the match and a few other notables. Not things you want your parents around for. It was all a bit of fun! The older players are all very supportive of BB and his friend who also moved up to seniors this year, and were all congratulating him on his hat trick. I think he has well and truly earned his place in the team. I hope he hasn’t peaked too soon.
We walked home via the supermarket where beer and crisps were purchased, we had nothing for tea, so I ordered some pizzas. I was just going out to collect them (I hadn’t been drinking) when BB appeared back home. He rushed in, picked up his flat keys and a couple of things and dashed off, as he was getting a lift back to Glasgow.
TT and I enjoyed our pizzas and watched some TV.
I had another wander around St Mary’s Pleasance today when I popped out for some fresh air. I love passion flowers.
