Scabiosa ? columbaria

Not the blip I intended.  After tomorrow's operation I won't be allowed to drive for an unknown period.  So as we needed so things from our janitorial supplier to keep the Lodge topped up, we decided on an impromptu trip to Kirkby Stephen.

The weather forecast said cloudy with only a 30% or so chance of rain.  Great we planned that after our business we would go for a walk.  A couple of miles from home there were splashes on the windscreen.  a mile or two further on I put the wipers on to intermittent, before long I needed the wipers on full.

We bought our supplies, went to our favourite cafe for lunch.  It was still raining so we chickened out and headed for home.  My continual rant about drivers!  Why oh why do some insist on driving through rain and the inevitable spray without a single light on the car.  Have they never read the highway code?  

So the blip is a shot of a white Scabious on our patio, taken in the rain as we came home.
