Falling Leaves. Ok, Leaf…

… I watched through the window as flurries (note the plural) of rusty leaves fluttered into the grey Autumn afternoon.
So, I went outside and waited.
The trees (like a dog with a conker) refused to part with a single leaf as I stood, ready to capture an orange and ochre shower.
So I turned to leave.
And, looking back, was rewarded with the falling of just one solitary leaf.
I’ll take one :-)
Always happy for the trees to win.
