Well I wouldn’t say that the seafarers’ claims that the day after mares’ tails the weather will be turbulent came to pass today.  The winds were stronger and there was much more movement in the sea but, for me, turbulent means stormy and it wasn’t stormy today.

It was bright and sunny and there was strong breeze (which the Met Office rates as  21-27 mph) so falling short of a gale force wind (34mph +).  Maybe yesterday’s tails weren’t long enough to cause a storm today.
