High Tenterfell

Another mizzlin day in Kendal.  My  route home invariably goes along  High Tenterfell and this  very pleasing tunnel of trees that are beginning to look autumnal 
And just in case you didn't know - "tenter "was the frame on which wool was stretched and dried . Wool being the main industry in the town until the mid 1800s.
