Quirky

After collecting my bike and car parts this morning I was all prepared to spend the day swearing at various clips and contraptions. Instead Himself announced he wanted to go and see an exhibition of photographs from someone who'd been on a long distance train journey, similar to ours.   In a fit of spontinaity I brought the washing in I'd just hung out and off we went.

The photographs were good, but "exhibition" was pushing it a bit. It was 10 (very good) photos in a trendy cafe in Kings Cross. We couldn't even get a bun as the cafe was full of people 'working' and making one coffee last all morning.

Not to waste the day we wandered around Coal Drops Yard (overrated IMO) for a bit, dodging the biblical rain showers until my stomach got the better of me and I made him buy me lunch.  

The day was one of small disapointments  but ended on a high when we found a random and quirky pub to finish the afternoon off in.
