MacMillan

Today was the annual MacMillan Cancer Care Coffee Morning.  The day was bright and sunny, which always helps to bring people out, and the church was busy.  I was helping as usual, this year selling raffle tickets, and it was hectic, there were four of us and we could just keep up with the demand.  We made a lot of money!

The cakes and scones were lovely, lots of coffee and tea was drunk.  We had an auction run as usual by Jim, and a raffle as I said. 

 A representative of the charity told us of some of the people helped and the ways of helping when cancer strikes.  There are few people who have not been affected by this disease.

We are hopeful of making a lot of money for this very worthwhile cause.  I will let you know when I hear the total on Sunday at church.
