Yippee!!!!

FINALLY!  After more than one month of waiting, at 4:30 this morning we were woken by an in-suite announcement from the Captain that the Northern Lights were visible off the port bow!

We leapt out of bed and scampered to our balcony to see this amazing lime green arc of light.  Every evening at the day's recap by the Expedition team, they have given us an Aurora Borealis forecast -- and every evening it's been the same news:  Yes, we are in the right zone, BUT there will be cloud cover (or fog), therefore they won't be visible.  So no one minded one bit that we were roused from a sound sleep for this sight!  What a treat!

I think this qualifies as the earliest blip I've ever posted!
