It’s been a long couple of days….back home now and the house is fine, just lots of tree debris to clean up. Power is out and water was too but now we have water.
Went to Bird Key park this evening and thought I should get a shot of the police command trailer parked there. The bridge is open to that point but closed to St. Armand’s, Lido and Longboat Key due to flooding. So police are at that intersection stopping everyone and a photo ID is required to go to Bird Key, residents only. Hopefully the water will recede and people who live out there on the barrier islands can get to their homes. The damage here is horrible but our hearts go out to our neighbors to the north.
