Playa de la Catedrales
After a really bad night of coughing and no sleep, I went to the Spanish GP centre at 0800. It was a different doctor. She was actually great, but unsmiling. She spoke some English but I had Geraldine to translate.
Lots of people here have problems with allergies and asthma. She added an antihistamine to my cocktail of drugs
The tour leader was keen for me to go home, but it looked as though it would be a complicated journey. I felt more positive about the outcome and opted to stay on.
We had a shared slideshow of images back at the hotel, then drove to Galicia with stops in fabulous beaches en route.
I coughed and hacked all the way, but felt definitive improvement. (I had been reassured that my asthma was not deteriorating, which helped. Assessing yourself when you are a doctor is notoriously difficult.)
Back to the landscapes. There are sandy beaches here with sea stacks and arches. They are crumbling, so care is required when near the cliffs.
My blip was taken during our sunset shoot. The beach is a UNESCO heritage site and access is limited by booking ahead. We had not and were refused entry.
It’s free but you have to book online. 15 tense minutes later and it was done. All ten of us had entry, although we may not recognise the details which Martin had to concoct, like our Passport numbers and Dates of birth!
We joined others on the beach. Photography was tricky because everyone was taking pics and getting in each other's way!
We left the beach happy and ate around 10pm.
I could not keep my eyes open to post a blip This one was taken with Spectre app on the iPhone.
