A slide into much
cooler weather is in the
forecast for the week

I got my first photo of the day from my deck at 6:30. The colour on the horizon was not to be missed. It was a chilly 7 C outside and rather grey so I took my time leaving the house. I dug out a turtleneck and my fleece jacket for this jaunt. I left at 8:30 for Shuswap Road.

I found an eagle on its usual perch overlooking the river. It didn't seem to be in much of a hurry  either.

I took several shots of the silt bluffs along the north side of the valley. In contrast, I got a shot of the luxury homes along the south shore across the river.

A large crew of BC Hydro workers were setting up along the road. They must be replacing power poles on this route. I stopped far short of the flagman so I could get this shot of the production. I had to laugh because it seemed to get everyone's attention. The flagman spoke into his walkie/talkie and suddenly heads were popping out between the vehicles to check me out. I wondered who they thought I could be. LOL!

I zoomed back over to the Yellowhead Highway, then across the Halston Bridge to home with a stop to pick up breakfast.

I'm in for the day and hoping my brother returns to join us for dinner. I might just have to turn my furnace on before bedtime. It's the last admission that summer is over.
