A wild day by the sea

Heavy rain overnight followed by gale force winds meant finding things to do was a challenge. In the end by late morning I decided on a run through the delightful wooded dunes along the Wells Next the Sea coastline. I did peep over towards the beach to be greeted with a sand blast and quickly retreated back into the more sheltered woods. Back just in time to pick up Richard after dialysis.

In the afternoon we had a ride to visit a working windmill, which also sold baked items made with their flour. Would have liked to have tried their bread making activity but it wasn’t running in the afternoon.

An eventful evening when the power went off. Fortunately a helpful young man came to the rescue. The time spent waiting made us think about how reliant we are on power. If we had been at home candles, camping stoves etc would have been pressed into action.

One thing I have noticed whilst been in the part of the world are the splendid place name signs. So an example features as today’s Blip.
