River Thames, Letchlade, Morning Light

I like the way that there's a swan in the foreground here and several "swans" in the background.

It's been a lovely sunny day as you can see, but not enough to dry up the extensive floods around the river in places, and in very many fields within the flood plain. So we didn't attempt to hike from Letchlade to our next planned stop (Cricklade): we took a taxi.

We still had a good day however, having both a morning walk and an afternoon one along tracks around Cricklade so we're still managing about 9-10 miles a day which was our original plan. (The morning walk had to be aborted after a while because of floods in the fields.)

We're still hoping to walk most of the way to our final stop (Kemble) tomorrow, to reach the source of the river.
