Dragonflies galore

We were very fortunate here on the coast with this latest storm. Helene decided to track more to the west and so we got some rain and some wind but only enough to leave us with a bit of small yard debris

The western part of the state didn’t fare so well and the NCDOT have asked that we consider all western NC roads closed.

Asheville & Boone are flooded and the university students in both those cities are stranded in their dorms

Some of our local small plane pilots are flying up to small airports in the mountains tomorrow and taking supplies. They have asked the community to help. Kent and I went into our storage room and gathered together paper products, toiletries & non-perishables and delivered them to the Aero Center tonight.

Today was a bright sunny day with Carolina blue skies. Kent and I spent the morning on an ATV out by Sutton Lake. There were hundreds of dragonflies and I took pictures of just a few of them. Check them out in extras.
