On Some Days

The Baggy Green . . . John Williamson

This morning we went for a walk on Rabbit Island beach.  The extra is looking back towards Richmond where I live.
The song is an Australian one.

. . . A ball through the window, a worn patch of grass
Arvos in the backyard, worth the panes of glass
Your head full of heroes, with cricket every day
Could it be that baggy cap would come your way?
Don't give up, no don't give up, never loose the dream
Better than a crown of jewels to wear the baggy green
Batters take the centre, bowlers hit the seam
You never take for granted the baggy green . . .
