Birthday Party

Today has been a good but bonkers day in the Charmley household.
Mark was in M & S and Iceland just after 8am getting stuff for the party. He had a meeting at 9, a baptism at 11 and a wedding at 1:30pm.
The rest of the family, particularly Tracy prepared for the party, tidied the house and started thinking about packing for the holiday.
Jonathan's friends arrived at 5:30pm for non-alcoholic cocktails. Then as it was a Bond party we went into the shooting range to hone our skills.
A starter of dips and nibbles was followed by a musical quiz before the maincourse of chicken steaks, chips and veg came out. Then there was another quiz while Tracy sorted the desserts - a trio of chocolate puddings (1, chocolate brownies with chocolate ice-cream, 2, profiteroles, 3, milk chocolate and white chocolate (layered) mousse.
We then put on Skyfall for them to watch while Tracy wrote her sermon for tomorrow and Mark fulfilled the domestic goddess role and washed everything up and tidied away.
