I am a mole and I Live in a hole
Today dawned Autumny. We had to get up early - I had a scan at 910 at the local hospital
It was the weirdest thing. I went in, through maybe a series of 5 doors - all of which opened automatically. Not another person in sight.
I got to the receiption, the two ladies stopped chatting, and checked my details. Name, Age, Address, Leg.
One of the ladies stood up and walked me to the door. It was an x-ray so you know how it works, yes? I walk in one door to a little changing room, and walk through to the other end, to the xray. She shows me in and says "Someone will be with you shortly".
Okay, says I and sits myself down. I checked my watch, 9.01. I sat there, looking at the bags under my eyes in the mirror right in front of me, and spent time massaging them with my clinique roller ball.
At 9.09, I heard the receptionists door open, footsteps and then someone walking through and into the Xray room. Silence for a minute.. Then my door opened and there was the other lady who was sitting in receiption.
Yes, she had watched me come in, allowed her friend to show me in, and then the two of them had sat there til exactly my appointment time,.
She then asked me all the things her friend had asked me WHILE she was sitting there....
and then took my xrays and said bye.
As I was walking out- the two of them appeared to be packing up..
Why did they not just xray me as soon as I arrived instead of sitting doing nothing for 8 minutes. Why was I the only person with an appointment.
So many questions. All unanswered.
We then went shopping and I am very excited to report that I was able to walk round the whole shop, without giving up.
Then we went down the town (we shopped in another tow for variety this week)
We walked from the car park to the library - round the town square and back to the car. AND I WAS STILL Standing.
That is not to say that my leg isn't hurting. It just isn't hurting as much as it was last week.
Fingers crossed it keeps impriving
