Green for Now

On the bus to Pateley Bridge today -  a little zippy bus that runs on a Sunday provided by Dales Bus, a summer service to support walkers. Probably our last trip this year as it will end on the last Sunday in October.
Elaine and l walked alongside the River Nidd, much colder day than yesterday. We then squeezed in a quick coffee before catching the return bus to Otley.
We had already been to the farmer’s market there early morning, have to go early to buy the Italian baker’s spinach and ricotta pinwheel rolls, they sell out quickly. Will be having them warm with a fried or poached egg on top.
I sit the roll on a smear of homemade tomato sauce, a dish l sort of made up myself but it’s a favourite.River Nidd.

Will be watching Strictly results show tonight, will be disappointed if Toyah isn’t the first to go. Unfortunately she hasn’t got much of a natural dance move in her body. It’s her bad luck to be partnered with Neil who in my humble opinion is the worst dance teacher on the programme. He’s encouraged her to do her own thing instead of guiding her to perform a few recognised dance moves that would have earned her some credibility.
Instead she looks like a Granny on Speed.
